The client and the challenge
A nationwide company with numerous branches and teams working in different locations needed to streamline the development of its employees’ language skills across the organisation.
The company comprised various departments with differing communication needs — ranging from HR and sales to technical teams, customer service and administration. Employees used different foreign languages in their work, and their proficiency levels and language requirements varied significantly.
The HR department needed a solution that would allow them to train multiple groups simultaneously, maintain a consistent organisational standard and ensure central coordination of the programme across the organisation.
Aim of the project
What we did
We began the project with a language audit and an analysis of the needs of individual departments and locations. We assessed the participants’ language levels, how they use foreign languages at work, and the most important communication situations encountered within the organisation.
On this basis, we developed a comprehensive language training programme covering:
- training for various departments and roles,
- grouping of participants by proficiency level and business needs,
- group and individual sessions,
- online and face-to-face training
- courses in English, French, Ukrainian and Polish for foreign nationals,
- modules supporting business communication, customer service and international cooperation.
As part of the project, we also implemented a centralised organisational and reporting model, enabling the HR department to monitor attendance, participants’ progress and the course of training sessions across different locations on an ongoing basis.
